7/26/99 - Album Pre-production Sessions Complete

Stimulant has just completed the pre-productions sessions for their first album with the help of producer, Scott Riebling. The band will starting the actual recording the third week in August at Q-Division Recording Studios in Boston. Overdubs and mixing are scheduled to start during the last week in August at Forte Apache Studios in Cambridge. Stimulant hopes to release the album late September or early October.
6/26/99 - Cable TV Pilot

Stimulant taped two songs in a semi-acoustic setting as part of a pilot for a cable tv show on the arts. The working title for the show is Poetry and Prose, which will feature up and coming poets and artists. Following the taping of the show, Stimulant played their last show of the summer in Boston. 5/20/99 - Attleboro Sun Chronicle (feature story)

Stimulant was featured in the Attleboro Sun Chronicle for their show at the Living Room in Providence RI. Jason Burns, writer for the Sun Chronicle, interviewed Stimulant about their history and a glimpse into their future.
4/25/99 - NeMO Showcase/ Enter Alan

Stimulant played the NeMO Showcase in Boston, setting a precendent for rock shows to follow. Following the show, Alan Sillars was invited to officially join the band as the permanent bassist. Pictures from the show are on the Stimulant Bulletin Board
3/5/99 - NEMO Showcase

Stimulant has been invited to play the 1999 NEMO Music Showcase which showcases upcoming local and regional Boston area bands. The event is kicked off by the Kahlua Boston Music Awards on Thusday night April 22. Stimulant will be playing on Saturday April 24 as Copperfields Down Under at midnight.
1/1/99 - Laying Low

Stimulant will be laying low for the beginning of 1999 working on new songs and pre-production work on an EP to be released this summer. The band plans to work with producer Scott Riebling who has worked with Nina Gordon (from Veruca Salt), Letters to Cleo, the Sky Heroes, and The Sterlings.
12/08/98 - Enter - Mike Collins

Stimulant welcomes aboard the new rocker in the band, Mike Collins, as the new permanant drummer. Mike has over 10 years of drumming experience and a range of influences including Van Halen, the Police, Rush, and Phil Collins. Thanks to Joe Marone for filling in the last couple gigs of 1998.
12/04/98 - Stimulant in 1999

Stimulant finished out the year with two great shows in Boston and Worcester Massachusetts. Photos from the Boston show at Mama Kin Music Hall are posted on the bulletin board. The band is now preparing to get back in the studio and write some new songs. 1999 promises to big year for Stimulant, as they raze the rock and roll world.
10/28/98 - Final Stimulant Shows in 1998

Stimulant just had an outstanding show in Plymouth for Mark's Benefit and helped in raising more money than orginally expected. There are just two more shows this year. First Stimulant will be Headlining at Boston's Mama Kin Music Hall on Nov. 11th , and then playing in the Battle of the Bands at Worcester's Sir Morgan's Cove on Dec. 3rd. The band will then be taking a short break to work on new songs and find a new permanent drummer.
10/10/98 - Goodbye to Brian Henderson

The show at Sir Morgan's Cove on Saturday October 10th was rocking out. Tonite the band said goodbye to drummer Brian Henderson, who has decided to leave the band. Brian will be missed, but will still be coming to shows as a supporter and friend of Stimulant. Joe Marone from the band Troy will be filling in on drums until a new permanent drummer is found. A Berklee graduate and local to the Boston music scene, Joe is an outstanding musician and performer.
9/15/98 - Alliance Festival

Stimulant will be playing the Alliance Festival in Boston MA at Karma Club/ Bill's Bar on Saturday September 26, hitting the stage sometime in the afternoon. This is the first year of this event which will feature many regional artists, from rock to folk. The Alliance Festival starts at 1pm and will be rockin til after midnight. The event is sponsored by WFNX 101.7FM, Much Music, and Mixx Magazine. Other artists playing are: Blinder, Skingame, Mighty Purple, Generic Joe, Lunar Plexus, Ricky Valente, January, Joe Feloni, Godboy, This Years Girl, Tank 26, Kris Hadsall, Brendan Sweeney, Jackie Martino, and Mary Godfrey.
8/10/98 - Matchbox 20 at Stimulant's Show

Stimulant was rockin it out last night at Mama Kin in Boston MA. The club was full and the music was loud. Among the audience was Rob Thomas of Matchbox 20 who was in town to play a show at Great Woods the following evening. Stimulant has one last show in August at Sir Morgan's Cove in Worcester MA.
8/04/98 - Live Show Pictures

New pictures from Stimulant's first show at the Living Room are up on the Web site, under the Living Room show link. Shows were also just booked for September at the House of Rock in Wareham MA and the Tank in Revere MA.
7/24/98 - The Juggernaut Rolls into August

Following some great shows in July, Stimulant continues to roll along like a juggernaut of rock music. Stimulant will be playing in Boston MA on August 9 at Mama Kin, and in Worcester MA on August 20 at Sir Morgan's Cove. More info is available on the shows page.
7/9/98 - July Shows Announcement

Stimulant will be playing in Providence RI on July 16 at the Living Room, and in Revere MA on July 23 at the Tank. More info will be posted on the shows page.
6/28/98 - First Internet Broadcast

Stimulant has received their first broadcast over the Internet on Tin's Local Show as a featured band. The host of the show, Tin, played I Venus and Starlight Lady, two new songs currently only available on Stimulant's demo recording.
6/11/98 - Welcome
